Rose la Rose’s Peek-a-Boo Costume

If you attended the Burlesque Hall of Fame weekend in Las Vegas,  you probably noticed a stunning red-beaded costume on display in the Burlesque Bizarre.  The Asian-inspired skirted pant-suit, complete with matching shoes and cigarette holder, belonged to the one and only Queen of Burlesque – Rose la Rose.  What you may not have notice about the costume is that is designed with a series of removable peek-a-boo panels.   The following is a series of  vintage William Oates photos of Rose la Rose revealing those panels.
