Censored: Blocked Photos

Despite  truly offensive pages dedicated to ‘slut shaming’, racism, violence and many other topics, here is your chance to see the photos that were deemed too racy for your Burlesque viewing-pleasure!!

Dolores Del Raye - This is the most recent photo reported to Facebook as an offensive nude. She is wearing full coverage panties, a semi-sheer net bra and pasties. But I guess if you squint and are easily offended, perhaps could be the most shocking thing you had ever seen.

Libby Jones - This photo was picked up by Facebook to use as an ad and someone reported. In turn, I received an email from Facebook saying I was not allowed to use Facebook to sell 'adult products'.....um, it was not even my ad and my Facebook page does not sell anything, much less adult products. Still scratching my head over that one!!!

Tura Satana - I voluntarily removed this photo after someone reported it as 'offensive'. The only thing it could fall under is Facebook's nudity regulations, and by their own definition breast nudity = exposed areola. So it should have been okay, but I never received a response to challenge I submitted.
Tura Satana – I voluntarily removed this photo after someone reported it as ‘offensive’. The only reason it could be deemed offensive is nudity (not violent, not hate speech, etc), and at the time, the site’s definition of breast nudity = exposed areola. So it should have been okay, but I promptly removed it and never received a response to challenge I submitted.

Joan Arline - This one I admit I thought might get reported, because her pasties are made to look like nipples. But again, by Facebook's definition of nudity at the time, this should have been fine...no exposed areola and she is wearing full coverage panties.
Joan Arline – In hindsight I can see why maybe this one got flagged, because her pasties do look a bit like nipples. But again, by the site’s definition of nudity at the time, this should have been fine…no exposed areola and she is wearing full coverage panties.

Well, there you have it….the four shocking images that have been deemed obscene.  Since the last two images have been posted, the site has changed their description of nudity to a very vague statement that no longer actually DEFINES nudity.  So now I am left hoping that photos, like that of  Dorloes Del Raye, are not MISTAKEN for nudes….go figure.

  1. We are subjected to scenes of graphic violence and sexual acts in the great majority of movies, tv shows and music videos galore, no problem, but the portrayal of beautiful women’s bodies is a problem? Better close all the museums filled with ancient art then too…We still have lots to do, ladies.
